abstract:time-delay often appears in many control systems, and in many cases, is a source of instability. delays are strongly involved in the areas of communication. however, for some systems, delays may have a stabilizing effect. in this talk, the analysis of delay effects on destabilizing and preserving the stability is provided respectively. then i will present the time-delay approach to sample-data and network-based control.

bio:刘坤，北京理工大学自动化学院博士生导师，北京理工大学高级专业技术岗位特聘教授。主要从事网络化控制系统的分析与综合、信息物理融合系统的隐私与安全控制等方面的研究。以第一或通讯作者共发表sci论文36篇，其中在控制领域顶级期刊ieee tac和automatica上发表14篇，其他顶级期刊上发表18篇，在springer出版专著1部。论文总被引3200余次，h-index和i10-index分别为30和41。现担任中国指挥与控制学会云控制与决策专业委员会总干事、ieee控制系统分会的会议编委、《北京理工大学学报(英文版)》编委、《控制工程》客座编委，是ieee senior member。主持军科委基础加强重点项目课题1项、国家自然科学基金面上项目2项、北京市基金面上项目1项等。获吴文俊人工智能科学技术奖二等奖1项、中国指挥与控制学会青年科学家奖。
